Electronic music producer Neil O ‘Connor has been making electronic music for the past
25 years and has released over 20 albums and EPs. Ordnance Survey is drone and
ambient collaborative project and attempts to fuse the worlds of electronica, new music,
jazz, improvisation with modular synthesizers and live electronics. Relative Phase (2019)
featured collaborations from Sean Mac Erlaine, Linda Buckley, Kate Ellis, John Mc Entire
(Tortoise) while Ampere (2020) featured Donal Lunny and Cormac MacDiarmada (Lankum).
Field Work (2021) was completed during lockdown and featured field recordings made in
and around Dublin and His most recent LP, Nomos: O’Riada Reimagined (2022), is a
reworking of O’Riada’s work for electronics and pedal steel. Turas (2023) was recorded at
sites of and inside neolithic tombs around Ireland and features contributions from Roger
Doyle and Garreth Quinn Redmond.
