Rob Rua is a rave music DJ based in Galway, Ireland. He has played at parties and festivals across Ireland, the UK, and Europe including Boomtown, Outlook, Dimensions, Fusion, Life, Electric Picnic, Body & Soul, Open Ear All Together Now and Kallida.
Rob is the co-founder and lead A&R at record labels Rua Sound, Foxy Jangle, and SPHERES with 23 vinyl releases under its belt by artists such as Sully and Tim Reaper.
Returning to Galway in 2022, he co-runs Ar Ais Arís, an electronic music party in Galway providing big soundsystems and lineups in small, safe spaces. He previously promoted events in Cork through the DubCulture label and crew working with acts like Mala, Loefah, Objekt and dBridge.
Rob’s DJ sets focus on high energy, low-end dance music taking in garage, UK funky, jersey club, breakbeat and maybe even a bit of jungle.
He also holds down a monthly residency on Dublin Digital Radio.
